Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz out - How Liverpool should line up vs. AC Milan as star forwards dropped

Liverpool have been boosted by the return of Thiago Alcantara and Ibrahima Konate to training but will be without Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz for their pre-season clash with AC Milan.

The Reds take on the Serie A giants in Dubai on Friday night as they continue their preparations for the new season.

Jota has been ruled out with a knock, while Diaz is still recovering from a knee injury. Thiago has been out since suffering a hamstring injury in the pre-season friendly against Manchester United last month.

Konate has also been out with a knock but is now back in training.

Liverpool are likely to field a strong team against AC Milan, with new signing Darwin Nunez expected to make his debut.

The Uruguayan striker joined the Reds from Benfica in a club-record deal this summer and will be looking to make an immediate impact.
